Liezl holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management and a BCom degree in Management Accounting from Stellenbosch University. In 2020, she earned her SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants) accreditation after completing her three-year articles and passing the PA Exam.

Her specific experience includes office management, with a focus on financial aspects such as costing, financial reporting and audit management. Liezl is currently responsible for managing IT infrastructure projects and acting as the commissioning agent on upgrade and refurbishment of building services across university campuses in Cape Town and Stellenbosch.
